Blackpool Airport
Blackpool Airport (EGNH), previously named 'Squires Gate', was home to the first public flying meeting in 1909. The airport had its different uses over the early 20th century, most notably as a racecourse and as a military hospital during the Second World War. Given the tourist attractions in Blackpool itself, you will find a large number of Wingly flights to and from Blackpool Airport (EGNH). Passenger numbers have varied over the years, with the peak number of passengers passing through the airport in one year being in 2007, at around 550,000.
