Rutan Aircraft Factory models

Rutan Aircraft Factory began life in 1974, deriving their name from Bart Rutan, an auteur American aerospace engineer noted for his originality in designing unusual-looking, energy-efficient aircraft. They are best known for their Long-EZ model and the record-setting Voyager which was the first aircraft to circumnavigate the globe without landing or being refuelled in 1986. The company began life selling aircraft design plans to homebuilders, expanding into manufacturing its own models later on. You will find several Long-EZ aircraft listed on our platform, notable for their swept wings and 'pusher' engines which give the aircraft a sleek, futuristic look, still striking over 40 years after its initial introduction. If these unique designs have piqued your interest, be sure to take a look at the available flights in your area!
