Leicester Airport
Leicester Airport (EGBG) is a great airport for those looking to learn to fly and obtain their private pilot's licence, or those who just want to experience the thrill of a flight. Located about 6 miles east of Leicester, the airport is a hub airfield for the midlands. Formerly named 'Stoughton Aerodrome', Leicester Airport (EGBG) was built in 1942 making up the RAF Leicester East station. The airport is currently not approved for carrying out commercial transport services.
